JKNPP protests for immediate dissolution of J and K Assembly

Accusing BJP of using "unethical means to woo" PDP, Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) today held a protest demonstration against the saffron party and demanded dissolution of the Assembly.

Led by JKNPP Chairman, Harsh Dev Singh, over 150 workers held the demonstration at Press club area here seeking an immediate dissolution of the Assembly followed by fresh elections in the interest of democracy in Jammu and Kashmir.

"We demand immediate dissolution of J&K Assembly followed by fresh elections in the interest of democracy in J&K", Singh told reporters here today.

Singh said that it has been almost 50 days since the Governor's rule was imposed in the state with none of the political parties or combinations staking claim to form the government.
 

He alleged that the BJP was resorting to horse trading, offering enticements and deploying other corrupt practices to lure its ex-ally.
