JKPCC expresses grief over Mecca's Grand Mosque mishap

Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee today expressed deep shock and grief over the crane accident at Mecca's Grand Mosque in which at least 107 people were killed including two Indians.

At least 107 people were killed and nearly 200 injured in the crane collapse during a storm at Mecca's Grand Mosque yesterday, days before the annual Haj pilgrimage.

Two Indians, both from Kerala, were killed and 15 others also injured in the mishap.

"This incident is very unfortunate. It has disappointed and anguished me the most", Mir said.

JKPCC Chief while offering his condolences to bereaved families, prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls and wished speedy recovery of injured persons.
 

He asked the Central government to provide help to the injured Indian pilgrims and also ensure bringing back the bodies to their families in the country.
