Expressing concern over allegations of mass copying during examination carried out by the J&K Services Selection Board for graduate-level posts, the state unit of Youth Congress today demanded a time-bound enquiry into the matter and the guilty to be booked under the law.

"We demand cancellation of examination that was conducted at all centres except two on December 25, besides a time-bound enquiry to be conducted into the matter andthe guilty to be booked under the law," Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress President Pranav Shagotra told reporters here.

On December 25, the JKSSB had conducted examination for various categories of graduate-level posts which were referred by various indenting departments in 2014 and 2015.

Allegations of cheating and mass copying had marred the examination conducted by Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB), with the board cancelling the exam at two centres in Jammu following ruckus there.

"The students were carrying mobile phones, textbooks and other copying material freely. As per rule, the paper held at all examinationcenters on December 25 should have been cancelled but the government has not clarified its position in this regard so far," Shagotra said.

The JKPYC chief demanded that next time the examinations take place, students be given their roll numbers at least 15 days prior to the day of the examination so that they can easily locate their centers and do not face any problem.

"For students from far flung areas of the state, examination should be carried out at their home districts so that it convenient for them," he said.

Meanwhile, Shagotra condemned the alleged attack on Congress workers in Assam and said that BJP has a history of spreading "communal hatred" and resorting to violence whenever elections in any state are approaching.

He asserted that Youth Congress will notallow to such forces to succeed in theirevil designs.
