The Jammu and Kashmir Youth Development Forum (JKYDF) on Thursday urged both state and central governments to devise a concrete plan for the welfare of youths who have become the worst victims of the present turmoil in the state.

"We urged both state and central governments to devise a concrete plan for the welfare of youths who have become the worst victims of the present turmoil in the state", JKYDF chairman Farooq Ganderbali said on Thursday.

Ganderbali alleged separatists in Kashmir were pushing their children towards illiteracy for petty political interests.

"When world is moving ahead, separatists try to keep our children away from schools, colleges and universities. Education needs normalcy and peace.

"We all have to play our role so that our younger generation's future is secured," he said.

The JKYDF chairman said that situation in the state was again turning bad and those leaders who claim to be well wishers of Kashmir in reality are pushing Kashmiris towards darkness.
