The 'Beat Again' hitmakers, who found fame on the UK version of 'The X Factor', landed the title for the second year running after performing at 34 shows across Britain this year, reported Digital Spy online.

A statement from the band read, "It means a lot that so many of our fans have had a chance to see us perform live. We look forward to doing more in 2013."

Irish band Westlife were runners-up with 31 shows, while Steps came third with 25. Pop sensations One Direction managed just 12 concerts on their home territory.

The list was compiled by Prs for Music, a group of 85,000 songwriters, composers and music publishers in the UK.

Prs spokesperson Barney Hooper says, "Gigging is as important for the biggest performers as those starting out and it's great to see that it is thriving in the UK."
