JM Financial Foundation's 'Walkathon 2017' held

JM Financial Foundation, the philanthropic arm of JM Financial Group, today held its annual charity event 'Walkathon 2017'.

Corporates like Enrich Salons & Academy, PNB Housing Finance Ltd, and NGOs Akanksha Foundation, Ekam Foundation, Nanhi Kali and Yuva Parivartan took part in the Walkathon' that was flagged off from Nariman Point in South Mumbai by Nimesh Kampani, chairman, JM Financial Group.

A large number of people from different walks of life including young professionals, philanthropists, fitness enthusiasts and employees of the group took part to spread the message of giving back to society.

The event helps mobilise funds for various philanthropic activities carried out by the Foundation and the funds thus raised are disbursed towards strengthening and uplifting the lesser privileged communities.
 

Some of the key focus areas include education, healthcare and animal welfare.

"We want to inculcate that the employees of the company should think about philanthropy and charitable object because always giving to society is important. Employees must start thinking that we must give to the society," Kampani said.

"We also get money from clients, friends, associates etc. We collect about Rs 1 crore and then distribute to various NGO's," he added.
