JMM supremo Shibu Soren was today authorised by the party to take a final decision on matters relating to pre-poll alliance with "secular and progressive" political parties.
The decision was taken after the party's Central Committee meeting, chaired by Shibu Soren, decided that all secular and progressive political parties should unite to stop communal and capitalist forces, according to a party release here.
Chief Minister and JMM vice-president Hemant Soren and other senior party leaders were present during the meeting.
Yesterday, the Chief Minister had said the main challenge for his party was to prevent "communal forces" from capturing power.
The Hemant Soren-led coalition is being supported by the Congress, the RJD and other smaller parties and independents.
