BJP today described the alliance between JMM and Congress to form a government in Jharkhand as "opportunistic and unethical" and demanded that fresh elections be held in the state to end stability and establish a stable regime.
"It is an opportunistic and unethical alliance. Reflects no stability. Jharkhand has seen nine governments in the last 12 years. The proposed alliance is outright transactional, lacks credibility and will not last," BJP General Secretary Rajiv Pratap Rudy told PTI.
JMM had earlier formed a government with BJP and AJSU in this Assembly. However, this government fell when Chief Minister Shibu Soren, who was still a member of the Lok Sabha, voted with the UPA government on a cut motion in 2010.
