JNU administration has issued a proctorial enquiry notice to four students for burning effigy of Gujarat government and gaurakshaks in varsity campus.
"You are required to appear before the Proctor to explain your position regarding the effigy burning of Gujarat government and gaurakhsaks held on September 19 at Sabarmati dhaba," the notice issued to the students said.
Those who have been served the notice include Rama Naga, Abdul Matin, Praveen and Manikanta. Naga was also among those accused of sedition in connection with an event on campus during which anti-national slogans were allegedly raised.

JNU students union condemned the disciplinary action saying attempts are being made to curtail every student protest.
"Disciplinary action is being taken on students for participating in almost every other protest. The administration is trying hard to make this a norm so that students stop participating in politics and the way is clear for the VC to make JNU a 'model' university which dances to the tune of the right wing masters," a statement from the student union said.
