Press Trust of India New Delhi
A former JNUSU office bearer today threatened to jump off the administrative block after the students could not get an audience with Jawaharlal Nehru University vice chancellor M Jagadesh Kumar over the research seat cuts.

The students led by Bara Anubhuti Bara, who had served as JNUSU vice president, claimed that they were not allowed to meet Kumar despite repeated attempts.

Bara then climbed the terrace and threatened to jump off, police said.

Her fellow students made a PCR call and police persuaded her to come down, following which she relented.

No case has been registered in the matter, police added.
