In the second such incident within a week, a girl student of Jawaharlal Nehru University was attacked and molested inside the campus allegedly by a former student of the prestigious institute.
Police said the 20-year-old student of the University was molested and slapped inside the campus by her friend last evening.
Abhinendra Jain, 24, was arrested today after a case under sections 354 (assault or use of criminal force against women with intent to outrage her modety) and 506 (criminal intimidation) was registered against him.

"Jain, a resident of Bihar, is an ex-student of the university. Last evening, he called the girl asking her to meet him. When the girl came to meet him, he attacked her, slapped her and molested her in full public view. The girl was staying in a hostel in the JNU campus," said a senior police officer.
The girl is a student of School of Language where she was studying Spanish.
The victim told police that she was in a relationship with Jain. He had told her not to talk to other men. When she did not listen to him, he attacked and molested her, police said.
The attack came within a week of another JNU student, Roshni, being allegedly attacked by her 23-year old friend Akash. Akash had allegedly hit her head with an axe before consuming poison and slitting his throat.
He died in the AIIMS trauma centre a few hours after the incident while Roshni is recuperating at Safdurjung Hospital.
