The number of entry-level jobs (0-5 years experience) in top six cities of Uttar Pradesh increased significantly during 2013, says a study by industry body Assocham.
"A total of over 15,400 new jobs were created in six major cities of UP namely Agra, Aligarh, Allahabad, Kanpur, Lucknow and Meerut in calendar year 2013 in all categories and across various sectors.
This is against over 11,700 new jobs in 2012, thereby registering a year-on-year growth of about 32 per cent," according to a sector-specific analysis on job trends across the country conducted by the chamber.
