A senior official of the Jodhpur Doordarshan Kendra was killed when his car collided with a bus on Jodhpur-Nagaur highway today.
Director of Jodhpur Doordarshan Prasaran Kendra Rajesh Nahata was going to Bikaner to take the additional charge of the Bikaner Doordarshan Kendra.
"A little ahead of Bhawad Fanta, some 30 km from Jodhpur on Jodhpur-Nagaur highway, his car collided with a roadways bus coming from opposite direction at about 6.00 p.M.," police said.
The driver of his car also sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment at the MDM Hospital here.
Both Nahta and his driver Pooran Singh were rushed to the hospital in Jodhpur, where Nahata succumbed during treatment. The condition of the driver is stated to be critical.
