Jodhpur police commissionerate gets its logo

The Jodhpur police commissionerate today got its logo, three-and-a-half year after introduction of the Commissionerate system in the district.

DGP Omendra Bhardwaj unveiled the logo and also launched the web portal of Jodhpur Traffic Police.

Referring to the logo with the motto of Jodhpur Police "Sarva Sevarth, Sarva Suraksharth" (For service to all, for safety of all), Bhardwaj said "I hope that Jodhpur police would try its best to live up to the spirit vested in this motto".

He also said with fresh recruitments, the police commissionerate in both Jaipur and Jodhpur would be in a position to overcome the shortage of manpower and address various challenges that the police today was faces.
 

Launching the Traffic Police web-portal, Bhardwaj said it would work as a link between the police and a common man in order to work out the solutions and ways to teething traffic problems.

With the launch of the portal, Jodhpur became the first district in the state to have its own web-address fully dedicated to traffic police and its issues.

"Besides educating and updating the citizen of Jodhpur, this portal would also work as a communication between us and people for giving suggestions and lodging complaints," said DCP (Traffic) Vishnu Kant.
