Michael Jackson's father Joe has returned to his home in US after recovering from a stroke while celebrating his 87th birthday in Brazil.

The retired music manager was released from the hospital last week, but suffered a fall which delayed his return, reported TMZ.

The showbiz patriarch will visit doctors at Cedars-Sinai to make a plan to correct his blurred vision following the stroke, said an insider.

Joe was rushed to the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo on July 26 after suffering a stroke and three heart attacks.

Janet, 49, was preparing for her upcoming 'The Unbreakable World Tour', which kicks off later this month, when the news broke, leading to her ditching rehearsals to be with her father.
