Actor Joe Manganiello has joined the cast of action military drama "Six", which follows the brotherhood of Navy SEAL Team Six.
The 39-year-old "True Blood" alum will play Rip Taggart, a onetime leader of the SEAL Team Six squad who now patrols an African village to protect its residents from Boko Haram, reported Variety.
The eight-episode drama will also star Barry Sloane ('Revenge'), Dominic Adams, Edwin Hodge, Kyle Schmidt and Juan Pablo Raba.
William Boyles ('Cast Away') and military special operations vet David Boyles are writing the series hailing from A+E Studios and the Weinstein Company, and executive producing alongside Harvey and Bob Weinstein, Alfredo Barrios Jr and George W Perkins.
