Pop singer Joey McIntyre is developing a TV comedy about his attempts to transition from a New Kids on the Block star to an actor.
The "Step by Step" singer is to star in the sitcom, tentatively titled "The Joey McIntyre Project", in which he would play a fictionalised version of himself as he tries to move away from his persona as a boy band heartthrob and become a serious actor, reported Deadline.
Bandmate Donnie Wahlberg will help produce the project along with his wife, model/ TV star Jenny McCarthy.
