Actor John Abraham who is playing a lead in action film 'Madras Cafe' today urged people of Chennai to ensure its release on the due date.
MDMK leader Vaiko and founder of Naaam Thamizhar Katchi Seeman have demanded ban on the film, alleging that it has portrayed the outlawed Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in a bad light.
The film is set in the late 80s and early 1990s, during the time of Sri Lankan civil war and the assassination of then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.

Directed by Shoojit Sircar, the political espionage thriller, also starring Nargis Fakhri, is slated to release on August 23.
