John Travolta is upset about his embarrassing gaffe at the Oscars where he pronounced Idina Menzel as Adele Dazeem while introducing her at the 86th Academy Awards.

The 'Pulp Fiction star, however, hopes that the Broadway star would forgive him for the mistake, reported Us magazine.

"I've been beating myself up all day. Then I thought... What would Idina Menzel say? She'd say, 'Let it go, let it go!'" Travolta quipped, referencing the singer's performance on the Oscar-winning song "Let It Go" from Disney's 'Frozen'.

"Idina is incredibly talented and I am so happy Frozen took home two Oscars Sunday night!," he added.

Travolta's gaffe turned out to be one of the most memorable moments from the ceremony where he butchered Menzel's name while calling her on the Oscar stage.

"Please welcome the wickedly talented, one and only Adele Dazeem," he had said.
