Johnny Depp is all set to play a college professor in indie drama "Richard Says Goodbye".

The 53-year-old actor will be seen as a college professor who receives a life-changing diagnosis that causes him to rethink his philosophy and throw every caution to the wind.

Wayne Roberts is directing the film. This is his second feature film after he debuted with the Olivia Cooke-starrer "Katie Says Goodbye" last year, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Depp will next be seen reprising his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the fifth Pirates franchise, "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales".

He has also been roped in for "Murder on the Orient Express" and the sequel to "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them".
