Accusing Opposition parties of spreading "mischievous messages" against the BJP through social media, senior party leader Vijay Jolly today urged Delhi Police Commissioner to take strict action against the culprits.

In his letter to Police Commissioner B S Bassi, the senior BJP leader said, "The messages proclaim BJP to be against working women, women wearing jeans, installing Nathuram Godse statues and imposing forcefully Hindu ethos in Delhi. Such malicious propaganda are to project BJP badly in the eyes of Delhi voters, especially women."

Jolly, a former BJP MLA, demanded that an FIR should be registered against the guilty for spreading "malicious propaganda" projecting BJP as a "communal party" through 'Whatsapp'.

"Such messages are being extensively forwarded to Delhi citizens from an US mobile number and were meant mislead the voters against BJP just before the upcoming Delhi elections," he said.
