'Fault in Our Stars' director Josh Boone has been linked with Universal Pictures' Vampire Chronicles reboot.
Boone, 35, is believed to be in line to direct the film starring Anne Rice's Lestat de Lioncourt, reported The Wrap.
Brian Grazer, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are producing the project, after Universal and Imagine Entertainment acquired the rights to all existing and future books in the series.

The deal also includes the adapted screenplay for 'The Tale of the Body Thief', written by the author's son Christopher Rice.
The first film will reportedly be based on 'The Vampire Lestat', rather than Rice's first and most famous Vampire Chronicles novel 'Interview with the Vampire'.
The film version of 'Interview with the Vampire' starred Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and Kirsten Dunst.
'A Queen of the Damned' movie was released in 2002 starring Aaliyah and Stuart Townsend as Lestat.
