'No Country for Old Men' star Josh Brolin was allegedly involved in a small bar fight with a bouncer recently.

The 45-year-old actor was involved in a drunken altercation with a security guard outside a pub in Santa Monica, California, after he reportedly flipped out when he was told the venue was closing for the night, reported TMZ.

The 'Gangster Squad' star was not happy when he was told to go home and reportedly began throwing punches, none of which appeared to connect with their intended target.

The bouncer managed to avoid getting hurt before one of his colleagues stepped in and urged Brolin to stop.

The actor hugged the bouncer after he brushed off the incident, insisting: "We were just hugging."

The pub's staff members then accompanied Brolin to the side of the road to help him hail a taxi and even attempted to protect his privacy when approached by a persistent female fan.

The actor was previously arrested for public intoxication in the early hours of January 1, 2013.
