Josh Gad joins Branagh's 'Murder on the Orient Express'

Comedian Josh Gad is the newest addition to the cast of Kenneth Branagh's "Murder on the Orient Express".

The 35-year-old actor will play Hector McQueen, a high-strung translator with a taste for drink, in the Fox Studios film, said The Hollywood Reporter.

"Anthony Perkins previously played the character in Sidney Lumet's 1974 adaptation of the Agatha Christie novel.

The movie also stars Branagh as the famous detective Hercule Poirot, as well as Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Daisy Ridley, Judi Dench, and Michael Pena.

Branagh is also directing, from a script by Michael Green.

In an Instagram post featuring an Orient Express book cover, Gad said he is "very excited to board this train.
