A journalist with a vernacular daily here has been arrested for allegedly hurting religious sentiments of a particular community and threatening to disrupt communal harmony by publishing "incorrect" news about a religious flag atop a house in Dausa district.

The news article claimed that it was a Pakistani flag which triggered resentment among the community members in the district, police said, adding it was a religious flag.

An FIR was registered against journalist Bhuvnesh Yadav and three others based on a complaint filed by one Abdul Khalil for "promoting enmity through incorrect news published on Thursday", they said.
