Freedom fighter and veteran journalist B M Banthia died at a hospital in Kota after a prolonged illness, family sources said today.
Banthia, who was in his late 80s, had been admitted to a private hospital for past several days. He passed away last night.
Governor Margaret Alva and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot condoled the death of Banthia.
His mortal remains were cremated today in Kota.
