A local journalist was found dead under suspicious circumstances near a private power plant here today, police said.
Santosh Kumar Shrivastava (45) who was working as an editor of a weekly newspaper was found dead near a power plant and his motorcycle was also recovered near the spot, Kotwali police station in-charge, R P Mishra said.
He said prima facie it appears to be a well-planned murder and the body was thrown near the power plant to give it a different angle.

Shrivastava's mobile phone, camera and few papers in a burnt condition were also recovered from the site.
Police have taken into custody three persons for interrogation on the basis of suspicion.
A case has been lodged under IPC sections 302 (murder), 201 (causing disappearance of evidence) and 34 (acts done by several persons) in this regard and further investigations into the matter were on, he added.
