Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) President Sukhdeo Bhagat, MLA, today described Raghubar Das-led state government as "arrogant" and greedy for land.
Addressing the large crowd at Ulgulaan Sankalp Public meeting at Jalla College Ground in Patamda, around 20 km from here, Bhagat said the state government has shown haste to bring about an amendment in the decade-old Chhotanagpur and Santal Paragan Tenancy Act (CNT and SPT), which was framed to protect tribal land.
It simply indicated that the government was functioning on remote control from Delhi and on the directives of the corporate houses, he said.
