In view of increasing ceasefire violations and infiltration attempts from across the border, a Joint Security Group today reviewed the security situation in twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch.
The JSG, headed by General Officer Commanding, took stock of the security situation in the two border districts of Jammu and Kashmir, a defence spokesman said.
It also chalked out a strategy to deal with important events scheduled during the coming months in the districts, he said.

The meeting was attended by senior civil and police officers.
DIG Rajouri-Poonch (Range), Danish Rana, briefed the JSG on the prevailing internal security situation and steps initiated for its overall improvement.
