JSM raised slogans against University Vice-Chancellor Prof M P S Isher, asking him to fill up the posts on permanent basis, instead of giving multiple charge to selected persons.
Talking to reporters after protests, Sunil Kumar, president JSM, said several senior professors had been holding more than one position since long, which was upsetting the normal functioning of the varsity.
"As per norms, one man should hold one post only. However, a group of professors are occupying more than three or more key posts which eventually affect the students as well as administrative functioning of the varsity," Kumar said.
"Instead of adhocism and giving additional charge to some favourites, the Vice-Chancellor should go for a viable solution by filling these posts on permanent basis," he said.
"We fail to understand how a person occupying more than one post delivers justice with the administration as well as the students," Kumar said while questioning the rationale behind such a move.
