JSPL achieves 2.5 mtpa capacity in its Angul plant Jindal

Jindal Steel and Power (JSPL) today said it has completed 2.5 metric tonne per annum capacity in the first phase of its proposed 6 MTPA greenfield integrated steel project at Angul.

"We will achieve the full capacity of 6 MTPA at the Angul plant by 2016," JSPL Chairman Navin Jindal told reporters after meeting Odisha Chief Secretary J K Mohapatra.

The company is optimistic on signing an MoU with the Odisha government for its proposed coal-to-liquid project.
