Sajjan Jindal-promoted JSW Energy has restarted generation at its Barmer plant in Rajasthan which was shut down last month due to non-availability of fuel.
"Two 135 MW units of the Power station at Barmer have restarted operations while the balance units of 135 MW each are expected to restart operations in phase by end March 2014," JSW Energy said in a stock exchange filing.
Raj West Power, a wholly-owned unit of JSW Energy, shut down the 8x135 MW power station in February for about one month due to nonavailability of lignite (fuel that fires the plant).
