Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today called upon the people to judge the SAD-BJP government in the state only on the basis of its performance.
Addressing a rally on the second day of 'Sangat Darshan' programme in Talwandi Sabo Assembly segment here, Badal said the people should judge his government's performance themselves, rather than depending on the "hollow and baseless criticism" by other parties.
According to an official release, the Chief Minister said it was only the SAD-BJP combine government that had initiated this unique programme to establish a personal contact with every individual at grassroots level for resolving their pains and agonies.

Badal said there was no political motive behind 'Sangat Darshan' programme, and it was solely based on the principle that for the creation of a healthy society it was essential that all the three components of the society namely public, elected representatives and bureaucracy must sit together and work in unison.
He said all collective and demand-based decisions taken during such programmes would be displayed on the boards in respective village to make everyone familiar with the concern of the government.
Over complaints received on the occasion, Badal directed the administration to immediately conduct a survey for allotting houses to poor and needy families, besides financial assistance for repair of some houses.
Badal reiterated his government's commitment for re-establishing the farming sector on firm footing through effective implementation of allied activities for enhancing the profitability of the farming community in the state.
