Spanish singer Julio Iglesias has received the honorary degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston for his achievements and inlfuences in music.
The college also awarded the same honorary degree to three other prominent figures in music industry including Sony Music Entertainment CEO Doug Morris, drummer Harvey Mason and Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and producer Dee Dee Bridgewater, reported Aceshowbiz.
Iglesias, 71, has produced more than 80 albums throughout his career. He became one of the top 10 best-selling artists in the world after his records were sold more than 300 million copies.

The honorary doctorate recipients of this year were chosen for their enduring contributions to American and international culture.
Iglesias joined past honorees that included Duke Ellington, Aretha Franklin, Steven Tyler, Loretta Lynn, David Bowie, Willie Nelson and Placido Domingo.
