Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday announced a new jumbo PCC for Himachal Pradesh with 19 vice presidents, 19 general secretaries and 69 secretaries.
While accommodating all leaders of the state in the new Pradesh Congress Committee, the Congress chief also set up a 44 member executive committee which includes all top leaders of the state.
Gandhi also made 15 permanent invitees to the executive committee, which includes former chief minister Virbhadra Singh, CLP leader Mukesh Agnihotri, former union minister Anand Sharma and former state ministers Vidya Stokes, Asha Kumari, Kaul Singh Thakur, GS Bali, Dhani Ram Shandil, Viplove Thakur (MP), Chandresh Kumari (ex-MP), besides Pratibha Singh (ex-MP).
The party chief also appointed 12 new spokespersons for Himachal Congress, with Kuldeep Pathania as its chief spokesperson.
Thirteen new district presidents have also been appointed, while Dhani Ram Shandil will be the chairperson of the five-member Disciplinary Action Committee of the state.
The Himachal Pradesh PCC was dissolved some time ago to pave the way for a new committee, while its president Kuldeep Rathore was retained.
