Jung felicitates women entrepreneurs

In an effort to encourage women, Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung today felicitated some of the leading women enterpreneurs of the national capital during the inauguration ceremony of Delhi Pavalion at IITF where an exhibition, based on 'Women Entrepreneurs' is being organised.

"For any country to be developed in the world, there is need to give similar opportunity to 50 per cent of its population. The main theme of this exhibition is also part of the same thing. We should encourage women," Jung told reporters here.

Various departments of the Delhi government like women and child development, department of health and family welfare, department of training and techinical education, mission convergence, Delhi Institute of hotel management, directorate of education and among others have installed their stalls to showcase their activites at the Delhi Pavalion in Pragati Maidan.
 

In order to acknowledge women's contributions in different fields of entrepreneurship, Jung felicitated Ritu Beri, a renowned fashion designer, Laila Tyabji, who is a designer and writer, Ritu Dalmia (Chef and restaurateur), Kiran Chopra (social activist), Sunita Godara (1992 Asian Marathon Champion), Rina Dhaka (fashion designer), Sneh Gangal, Anju Singh (entrepreneurs) and Saheen Anjum.

The artistically created Delhi Pavilion highlighted the various aspects of women entrepreneurs and their pioneers in the capital.
