Jung holds meeting with municipal commissioners to check graft

In an effort to contain incidents of graft in municipalities, Delhi's Lt Governor Najeeb Jung today held a meeting with Chairman of New Delhi Medical Council (NDMC) and all three Municipal Commissioners to discuss the measures to be adopted for curbing corruption.

"There will be zero tolerance for corruption in all government departments. The HODs of concerned departments must come forward and check cases of corruption in their offices," Lt Governor Najeeb Jung said.

Jung directed the NDMC chairman and the three municipal commissioners to submit a status report to him within a week about the lacunae within their own municipalities along with measures to be adopted to curb the menace of corruption.
 

Joint Commissioner of Police and Additional Commisioner of Police (Vigilance) have been directed to deploy sufficient staff at all municipalities to check corruption and intercept cases of corruption.
