Gaming company Junglee Games on Tuesday said it has achieved annual growth of up to 100 per cent since its launch in 2012 and expects to clock a revenue of USD 600 million at the end of the current fiscal.
The company is also expecting its global user base to grow to 40-50 million by March 2020 from 25 million at present, Junglee Games founder and CEO Ankush Gera said in a statement.
"Junglee Games aims to clock USD 600 million gross gaming revenue this fiscal. It is the fastest-growing skill-gaming platform in the world and Junglee Rummy, the flagship game of the company, is very popular with Indian consumers as this card game is familiar to them and has been part of their childhood memories or family tradition," Gera said.
He said that most of the players who play Junglee Rummy hail from the southern states of Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
"From 2013 to 2019, we've close to doubled in revenues and headcount every year. The company has seen positive exponential growth year on year because of the huge response and engagement we have garnered from our users," Gera said.
The online real money gaming market in India is estimated to be worth around USD 300 million, and its growth rate is pegged at 30 per cent per annum, the statement said.
