Junior doctors at the state-run SSKM Hospital today staged a protest demanding security for them.
Their day-long protest ended in the evening after the authorities assured them of adequate security.
Services in general wards were affected as most of the junior doctors were protesting at the campus.
The junior doctors said the relatives of patients frequently misbehave with them when a patient passes away in the course of treatment at the hospital.
