A social organisation today demanded a CBI probe into the killing of a student Arif allegedly by police in Alwar district in October.

"Arif, a B Com student, was deliberately gunned down at his house by cops of Tapukara police station on October 20, 2014, without any reason known to his family," General Secretary of Jamiat Ulama-E Rajasthan (JUR), Abdul Vahid Khatri told a press conference here.

"We have met Home Minister. The deceased's brother and other members and appeal the Chief Minister to give them appointment. BJP Minister Yunus Khan was also approached, but after two months of innocent Arif's killing, no justice has been done by police and state BJP government", he said.

Demanding a CBI probe in the case, he said JUR further demanded that a criminal case of murder be lodged against three cops including SHO of Tapukara police station.

However, he added that one cop Kailash was arrested in this case under section 302 (murder) of IPC.

Arif, who was driving a car, was killed and a policeman injured in an incident of firing that took place when a police party intercepted a car carrying two suspected criminals on a highway at Tapukara, 70 kms from Alwar on October 20.
