The trial of Kiaran Stapleton – who once called himself 'Psycho' Stapleton before court – has been going on at the Manchester Crown Court, attended by Bidve's parents, who have flown in from Pune.

Stapleton has admitted manslaughter but not murder, on grounds of diminished responsibility after he shot and killed Bidve on December 26.

His plea was not accepted by the court and the case proceeded to trial that heard evidence from psychologists who interviewed and assessed him.

The jury's verdict is expected shortly.
