According to Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Satyendra Garg, the driver was caught during a checking at Masoodpur three days ago.

"An NGO hired a bus for sight seeing for school children and arranged a trip to Gurgaon. The bus when returned with 42 children on July 16th night, we found him under influence of liquor with alchometer reading of 125.8 mg/100g against permissible limit of 30 mg," he said.

He was produced in court which awarded him five days' jail term, Garg said.

"We feel the driver entrusted with safety of so many children compromised it by getting drunk. We will be appealing for harsher punishment. Safety of so many children should never be compromised. How dare he play with lives of so many children?" he said.
