Justice demanded for Gopalgarh firing victims

Ten minority community persons were killed in a police firing in September last year in Bharatpur district in the state.

"The delegation of Rajasthan Muslim Forum met the Commission's chairman Wajahat Habibullah and other members yesterday and expressed their grievances before them", according to a release by the forum here today.

Action against policemen who opened fire on the people, proper compensation for the families of the victims were among the demands of the Forum.

A land-related dispute had led to a group clash prompting the police to open fire claiming ten lives.
