Hailing the verdict of a court, which discharged him in a case of alleged disrespect to the national anthem, Union minister Shashi Tharoor today said he was relieved as "justice has been done" after four-and-a-half year.

Tharoor told reporters on the sidelines of a function here, "Justice has been done. I am relieved and delighted".

"Throughout my career and life, I showed strong faith and respect to our national symbol and flag. I am very pleased that the case has been fully dismissed after four-and-a-half years," the Minister of State for HRD said.

In a relief to Tharoor, a court in Kochi today discharged him in the 2008 national anthem case and observed that he had "not intentionally" prevented singing of the national anthem.

To a query on the solar panel scam, Tharoor said the probe is on and "I do not want to comment on it".
