Justice Vasanthakumar takes over as CJI of J-K High Court

Justice Narayanan Nadar Paul Vasanthakumar today took over as the Chief Justice of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court.

Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra administered oath of Office to Justice Vasanthakumar at a ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan here, a Raj Bhawan Spokesman said today.

The Warrant of Appointment of Justice Vasanthakumar, as Chief Justice of the J&K High Court, was read out by the Registrar General of the High Court, he said.

After administering the oath, the Governor congratulated Justice Vasanthakumar and wished him a successful tenure as the Chief Justice of the State High Court.
 

Usha Vohra, First Lady of the state, serving and retired Judges of the High Court, Chief Secretary, Chief Information Commissioner, Chief Vigilance Commissioner, Director General of Police, senior civil, judicial and police officers, advocates, and family members of Justice Vasanthakumar were present at the oath Ceremony.
