The 18-year-old's mother split from his father Jeremy Bieber just 10 months after giving birth to the star, reported Showbizspy.
"I'm 18 now. She told me she would wait until I was 18 to do the dating thing again. I mean, I'm still not cool with it, but I guess I'm going to have to be. My mom's still got to have a life," he said.
A few weeks ago, producer Ryan Seacrest had said that Mallette is dating 'The Bachelor' host Chris Harrison and the pair were later spotted at Bieber's concert in Los Angeles.
However, when asked if the matchmaking had worked, the 'Baby' hitmaker said, "They both came to my show, but I'm pretty sure they came separate."
