Pop star Justin Bieber has become the biggest winner at the 2016 MTV Europe Music Awards with three trophies in his kitty.
The 22-year-old singer, who did not attend the ceremony which took place at Rotterdam, Netherlands, took home awards for biggest fans, best Canadian act and best song for his track "Sorry", reported Billboard.
This year Canadian artistes dominated the EMAs, with Shawn Mendes, Drake and The Weeknd winning big.

"Thank you so much. You guys are outstanding," said Mendes, while collecting the award. The 18-year-old singer also performed a stirring rendition of his hit "Mercy" at the event.
Lady Gaga was the night's other victorious absentee, taking home the trophies for best female and best look, which this year were colored purple in honour of Prince.
"Prince was a genius. He created ground breaking music and music videos his whole career. Prince we will always miss you," said host Bebe Rexha.
