Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) candidate from Jamshedpur West Assembly Constituency, Firoz Khan, was arrested soon after he filed his nomination today.
East Singhbhum district Deputy Superintendent of Police Jacinta Kerketta said Khan was arrested in connection with a pending case filed against him in 2012.
Khan, also JVM East Singhbhum district president, had led a demonstration here in 2012 in protest against killing of people of minority community in Myanmar and allegedly pelted stones at the district headquarters, she said.

A named FIR had been lodged against him in this regard under Bistupur police station.
Khan did not appear before the court which had served a warrant against him about a year ago.
Khan has been sent to Ghaghidih jail.
