In the mean time, Khan had attended several meetings convened by the district administration and police including one on the ensuing Assembly elections and was taking part in party activities, but the warrant was never served on him, Pappu said.
Khan had been arrested in connection with a pending case against him since 2012, when the JVM leader had led a demonstration in protest against killing of people in Myanmmar and allegedly pelted stones at the district head quarters office. An FIR had been lodged against Khan in this regard at the Bistupur police station.
