Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) today announced it will neither contest nor support any candidate for the two Rajya Sabha seats for which polling will be held on February 7.
"We have 11 MLAs, including a suspended MLA (Nizamuddin Ansari) and don't have the requisite number to win. So we have decided not to put up a candidate in the biennial polls," JVM Principal General Secretary Pradip Yadav said.
He was talking to reporters after a meeting chaired by JVM President Babulal Marandi on the matter.
Yadav said the party will also not support any other party or candidate.
